SOME MAY WONDER In my tissues The carbonized bones of a fawn At the water’s edge it died Watching a doe swim from it And flame Hoping to dissolve and live like salt in the estuary Some may wonder But if you speak of it Let truth blanket the forest Like headlights Speak of these things And the whole house full of books No one has read.
